A 6’3” elfish fellow with black hair and blue eyes. He is slim and carries a short sword and a longbow.
Born from the union of a Tayee man and a wayward elf maiden, Dalen lived a quiet life near the town of Isresk. After his father died of old age, Dalen’s mother began to fade, as elves who are tired of the world sometimes do. Before leaving Harad to find her way West, her final act concerning Dalen was to put him under the care of Nardeem, a local herbalist who lived in the fringes of the Sara Bask. Nardeem adopted Dalen and raised him as his own. Dalen grew in knowledge of nature and slowly developed a desire to work wood. He also learned the basics of using the sword and bow, as Nardeem understood the importance of survival on the edge of the hostile forest. After a time, Nardeem also succumbed to age and left Dalen with the care of his home. For a while, Dalen lived in relative contentment. Then the army of Tul Isra attacked and overwhelmed Isresk. Many friends and acquaintances of Dalen’s were slain or taken into slavery as a result. It was only a matter of time before Dalen’s cottage was “assimilated” into the Mezin Tarb. Dalen was lucky to get away with his life. Destitute and not knowing what to do, he traveled to Tyarett and found work crafting wood items for the Tayee temple there. He made friends with two locals, Dramkar and Brother Sipe. Upon learning of Dalen’s misfortunes at the hands of the Tarb, they invited him to meet with an acquaintance of theirs named Shalazar to see if Dalen might find something to do to get back at those who brought about Dalen’s homelessness.
